Linda M. Crate
should've bit the bullet
can't find my slytherin scarf
no matter how hard
i try,
and even though i had to say
farewell to you;
i want it now more than ever
bothers me that i cannot remember
where i put it because i know
you worked hard to knit it together
for me,
and i want to show the world
how proud i am of our friendship
because you were a good person
i will never forgive that
brain cancer
that took you away from us forever
making the strongest woman i knew
into a shell of who she was
didn't recognize that shy stranger
in the wheelchair,
and i'm sorry i wasn't brave enough
to say goodbye
i could've bit the bullet
after all you were the one suffering.
